Speakers' Bio:

 

Paddy Ramanathan is speaker, writer, influencer and Founder and Managing Director of iValley Innovation Center, advisor at the Garwood Center for Corp.Innovation at UC Berkeley Haas school of business. He writes and speaks on fintech and emerging technology and producer of FINTECHTALK ™, the intersection of silicon valley and financial services conference. He advises startups and corporates on how to achieve scale and success with fintech and emerging technology in financial services. Ramanathan career spans leadership roles in Financial Services firms like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Silicon Valley Bank and technology firms (through M&A) like Netscape and Google and in advisory capacity to firms in US, Asia (incl. Japan and Middle east), and Australia. He is passionate about inclusive innovation broadening the participation of minorities, women, veterans, kids/adults with special needs, elite athletes into the innovation economy. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engg. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Rakesh Nambiar is the Chief Technology Officer of Digital Banking at East West Bank. He is responsible for all aspect of technology that helps with the growth, execution and operations of the digital banking business. Before joining East West Bank, Rakesh held various roles with U.S. Bank including SVP/Head of the Digital Banking Technology, CRM and Analytics platforms that was leveraged across Consumer, Wealth Management, Commercial and Merchant businesses. Prior to that Rakesh held various leadership roles at Wells Fargo Bank and led multiple technology initiatives to transform the online platforms. Rakesh is a graduate of Stanford University, School of Business and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from India.

Sunil Singh is an Innovation and strategy focused executive with over two decades of leadership experience in delivering product excellence, scaling revenue and managing operations for high growth Fintech and Software companies.In his current role as CRO at LendUp, Sunil leads overall Strategy, Product, and Growth-Revenue for the Oakland based mission-driven Fintech company. Prior to LendUp, he was an executive at Marqeta, where he built product operations organization, created strategic partnerships with multiple issuing banks and payment network partners, and launched several marquee customers such as Alipay, Kabbage, Square, and Instacart doubling revenue YoY. Sunil has also led strategy and product management for the financial services business at Blackhawk Network (HAWK). While at Blackhawk he built the core processing platform and launched numerous consumer financial services and mobile banking products scaling the business to billions of dollars in transaction volume and profitability. Sunil holds an MBA from Babson College and BS in electronics and telecommunications engineering from Jadavpur University, India. He is a certified meditation instructor and volunteers his time teaching breath and meditation workshops for communities in the San Francisco Bay area.

Laxmi Patil works as VP, analysis and design at Wellsfargo Bank in San Francisco. She has 20 years of software development, design and analysis experience and leading/managing teams. On personal front,she is a mom of 2 and her hobbies include playing volleyball, hiking and badminton. She has been on the ASEI Silicon Valley Chapter Board since early 2020
