User Experience Design (UXD) is a design process whose objective is to design a system that offers a great experience to its users, while also achieving business goals, all within the limits of schedule, budget, and technology. UXD encompasses a number of disciplines such as user interface design, interaction design, research and usability, accessibility, information architecture, and Human Computer Interaction.
In this session, in addition to a keynote by Vice Chancellor of World University of Design, a panel of practicing industry experts will talk about UX design for enterprise products based on decades of their collective UXD experience working with large and small companies in public, non profit as well as private sector

Dr. Sanjay Gupta
Dr. Sanjay Gupta is currently Vice Chancellor of World University of Design, NCR, India. He’s an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad. Dr Gupta has had a distinguished academic career of more than three decades which includes stints in IIT, NIFT & Bharti Group. His most significant contribution has been in establishing Design as a mainstream field of study and career choice in India. He has led the movement of design into university education when he founded the World University of Design - the first design focused university in India offering art, architecture and design programs under the same roof. The university is now a reference point for scores of universities across India introducing design in their course offerings.
Dolly Parikh
Dolly is an innovative and accomplished social-impact leader with more than 20 years of success in managing projects and teams addressing some of humanity's biggest challenges like access to water, access to opportunities and mental health. She is passionate about leading organizations and projects that address real human needs and have far-reaching positive social impact leveraging her experience and system design skills.
Dolly has leveraged her experience in Design and UX Design to solve problems since 1990. As a Design Strategist, Information Architect and UX Designer, Dolly has worked at companies like Financial Engines, Medallia, Apple, PayPal, VeriSign and E*TRADE in a full-time or consulting capacity.
Noah Illinsky
Noah Iliinsky strongly believes in the power of intentionally crafted communication. He has spent over a decade researching, writing, and speaking about best practices for designing visualizations and diagrams. He is a frequent speaker in both industry and academic contexts.
He is the co-author of Designing Data Visualizations and technical editor of, and a contributor to, Beautiful Visualization, published By O’Reilly Media. He has a master’s in Technical Communication from the University of Washington, and a bachelor’s in Physics from Reed College. He works as a Principal UX Architect at Collibra.
Sabira Gupta
Sabira is a Principal UX Designer at Informatica and enjoys designing simple experiences for complex problems. Prior to joining Informatica, Sabira worked in UX Design and UI Engineering roles at Riverbed and Syncsort. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science.
Ches Wajda
Ches Wajda is a Silicon Valley product design veteran. He was LinkedIn's first design hire, and YouTube's first visual designer. Before that, he lead the design at E*TRADE for half a decade.
A key foundational designer at numerous other startups – InDinero, BlueJeans, Credit Sesame among them – he's an advocate for how human-centered design can positively impact both the product and culture of an early-stage company.
Piyush Malik
Piyush Malik is a silicon valley startup executive, entrepreneur, board advisor and business transformation practitioner in the domain of emerging technologies. He currently focuses on applied AI/ML, data science, IoT and all things related to analytics. He’s an alum of IIT Delhi and certified Design Thinking practitioner who formerly led the Worldwide Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence within IBM’s Digital consulting business and was appointed as a member of IBM's Academy of Technology. He has pivoted a few times in his career - previously as a management consulting leader with PwC’s CRM practice and before that as software solutions consultant. He started with telecom product management with Tata Group after receiving engineering and management degrees . He also serves on the boards of a number of professional and non-profit organizations.
John Rodrigues is a Product Designer, Sr. User experience designer at Citi Bank has been Profiled in the New York Times Entrepreneurship section. MS in User Experience and Interaction design from Thomas Jefferson University, USA. Bachelors in Engineering, from SJEC Mangalore, India. Lives in California, focusing on human-centered innovation and designing meaningful experiences. Currently working in the fintech domain, previously worked in healthcare, sports, VR, IoT, AI and robotics industry. In the past, founded an innovation company D&D SmartLabs, which continues to deliver value to multi-disciplinary collaborators.
Shrinali Patel
Shrinali Patel is an adventurer in both life and in design, contributing to her storytelling abilities and understanding of user needs. She is a Visual and User Experience Designer recently graduated from the University of Michigan. Her previous experience lies within the freelancing space providing ux and design strategy services to small businesses and growth stage startups. Currently, she is an Experience Designer at WONGDOODY/Infosys where she continues to work on client based projects.
